How do I connect DUE to Claude or ChatGPT?

DUE runs a standard MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://dues.world/mcp. Add it as an HTTP MCP server in any MCP-capable AI client — for example, in Claude Code: claude mcp add --scope user --transport http due 'https://dues.world/mcp'. You sign in once with OAuth using your DUE account, and then you can ask your AI about your money.

Does connecting DUE to an AI expose my bank?

No. DUE has no bank connection to expose — there's no bank login anywhere in DUE. The AI only sees the bills, subscriptions and income you've added yourself, and only after you approve access with OAuth.

Can the AI move money or change my data without asking?

No. The AI can read your summary and upcoming items, and it can draft changes, but actions like marking a bill paid or cancelled are guarded writes you confirm. Nothing financial happens silently.

Does the AI calculate my safe-to-spend?

No — and this is deliberate. Every number, including safe-to-spend, is computed by DUE's own deterministic engine from the balance, income and obligations you entered. The AI parses your question and relays the answer; it never performs the arithmetic, so the figure is the same one you see in the app.

Where does my data go when I use DUE in an AI?

Your DUE data stays in DUE. The AI client requests a specific summary or list through the MCP tools, over an encrypted connection, using your own authorised session. DUE never sells your data or uses it to train models.
