Your budget can't break, and there's nothing to leak
Most money apps ask for your bank login before they'll help. DUE never does. You keep the keys to your finances; DUE just organises what you choose to tell it.
Does DUE connect to my bank account?
No — never. DUE has no bank login, no Plaid, no open-banking connection of any kind. You add bills and income yourself, or by scanning a document. Because there's no bank connection, there's nothing to break when your bank changes something, and nothing for anyone to leak.
What happens to a bill I scan?
When you upload or photograph a document, it's read once to suggest the amount, date and vendor, which you confirm before anything is saved. The document itself isn't kept — only the item you choose to save — and nothing you scan is ever used to train AI models.
Can anyone else see my data?
No. Every record — bills, income, documents, reminders, settings — is isolated to your own account at the database level, so one person's data can never be read by another. Shared household items are the only exception, and only with people you explicitly invite.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Everything is sent over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored encrypted at rest. Sensitive server secrets are held separately and are never exposed to the browser.
Can I export or delete everything?
Any time. From your profile you can export all your data as JSON or CSV, and delete your account — which permanently removes your bills, reminders, notifications and settings. It's your data; you can take it or erase it whenever you want.
Do you sell my data or show ads?
No. DUE has no ads and never sells or rents your information. The only reason your data is processed is to make the app work for you. We're GDPR-first: access, portability and erasure are built in, not bolted on.
Is DUE financial advice?
No. DUE is an organiser, not a bank, lender or adviser. The 'safe to spend' figure is an estimate calculated from the numbers you enter — always your call before a decision that matters.
